The Presiding Judge of the Superior Court in Gila County has requested the appointment of the following individual to serve in the capacity of Justice of the Peace Pro Tempore:
Payson Justice Court – Tait Elkie
The Justices of the Peace Pro Tempore for the Payson Regional Justice Court will serve from August 1, 2022, to December 31, 2022, unless terminated earlier by order of the Presiding Judge, pursuant to A.R.S. 22-121 for the purpose of enhancing the courts' ability to process cases.

Because of exigent circumstances requiring qualified judicial officers when conflicts arise, or in the event a Justice of the Peace is absent or unavailable, pursuant to A.R.S. 22-121, the above appointment is requested for a Justice of the Peace Pro Tempore for the Payson Regional Justice Court. All Justices of the Peace Pro Tempore's may serve from time to time as requested and subject to the availability of funds of the respective Justice Court. Mr. Elkie's term shall expire on December 31, 2022, unless terminated earlier by order of the Presiding Judge.
