Approval of American Rescue Plan Fund allocations as presented.

Background Information

Gila County was awarded $10,492,363 in American Rescue Plan Act 2021 (ARPA) grant funds. The US Treasury released the Final Rule guidance which allows local governments to use the first $10,000,000 for general government services and uses. The remaining $492,363 must be used in accordance with the Interim Rule guidance. Work sessions with the Board have been held during 2022 to discuss capital projects (February 22, 2022), facility projects (April 26, 2022), the Pleasant Valley Veterans Retreat, and the Gila County Fairground projects (June 28, 2022). The presentation identifies uses for $6,500,000 for projects the Board has indicated as high priorities. Uses for the remaining $3,992,363 will be presented at a later date for the Board to review and approve.
