| Background Information |
On July 29, 2015, the County Manager approved Professional Services Contract No. 071415 with Samantha Sue Elledge, whereby Ms. Elledge would provide legal services for indigent citizens as appointed by the Superior Court in Gila County for a period from July 1, 2015, to June 30, 2016. The original contract was executed for an amount not to exceed $10,000 without written authorization.
On November 3, 2015, the County Manager approved Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Contract No. 071415 to increase the contract amount to $30,000.
On April 13, 2016, the County Manager approved Amendment No. 2 to Professional Services Contract No. 071415 to increase the contract amount to $40,000.
On June 15, 2016, the County Manager approved Amendment No. 3 to Professional Services Contract No. 071415 to increase the contract amount to $44,600.
On July 26, 2016, the Board of Supervisors approved Amendment No. 4 to Professional Services Contract No. 071415, which renewed the contract for on additional year beginning July 1, 2016, to June 30, 2017; increased the contract amount to $26,800; and added the sentence "In the event of formal discipline of the Attorney by the State Bar of Arizona, the Court may suspend or terminate the contract."
On February 21, 2017, the Board of Supervisors approved Amendment No. 5 to Professional Services Contract No. 071415, to increase the contract amount to $46,200; and added some language to the contract. |
