Amendment No. 2 to Professional Services Contract No. 041515 - Michael B. Bernays

Background Information

On June 9, 2015, the Board of Supervisors approved Professional Services Contract 041515 with Michael B. Bernays, whereby Michael Bernays will provide legal services for indigent citizens as appointed by the Superior Court in Gila County for the period beginning July 1, 2015, to June 30, 2016. The original contract was executed for a not to exceed, without written authorization, amount of $92,076.

On July 26, 2016. the Board of Supervisors approved Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Contract 041515 with Michael B. Bernays, extending the term of the contract for one additional year, from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017; and added some additional language to the contract.

Evaluation

Amendment No. 2 to Professional Services Contract 041515 extends the term of the contract for one additional year, from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018; increases the contract by $250 for a new contract total of $92,076; and adds some additional language to the contract.

Conclusion

Court Administration wishes to execute Amendment No. 2 to Professional Services Contract No. 041515 with Michael B. Bernays to extend the term of the contract for one additional year, from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018; increase the contract by $250 for a new contract total of $92,076; and add some additional language to the contract.

Recommendation

It is the recommendation of Court Administrator Jonathan Bearup to extend the term of the contract for one additional year, from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018; increase the contract by $250 for a new contract total of $92,076; and add some additional language to the contract.
