Amendment No. 2 to Professional Services Contract No. 041015 - Anna Ortiz.

Background Information

On June 9, 2015, the Board of Supervisors approved Professional Services Contract 041015 with Anna Ortiz, whereby Anna Ortiz will provide legal services for indigent citizens as appointed by the Superior Court in Gila County for the period beginning July 1, 2015, to June 30, 2016. The original contract was executed for a not to exceed, without written authorization, amount of $100,500.

On July 5, 2016 the Board of Supervisors approved Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Contract 041015 with Anna Ortiz, extending the term of the contract for one additional year, from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017; and increased the contract amount by $3,000.00 for a new contract total of $103,500; and added some additional language to the contract.

Evaluation

Amendment No. 2 to Professional Services Contract 041015 with Anna Ortiz extends the term of the contract for one additional year, from July 1, 2017, to June 30, 2018; with a contract amount not to exceed $103,500 without prior written authorization from the county; and adds some additional language to the contract.

Conclusion

Court Administration wishes to execute Amendment No. 2 to Professional Services Contract 041015 with Anna Ortiz to extend the term of the contract for one additional year, from July 1, 2017, to June 30, 2018; with a contract amount not to exceed $103,500; and add some additional language to the contract.

Recommendation

It is the recommendation of Court Administrator Jonathan Bearup to to extend the term of the contract for one additional year, from from July 1, 2017, to June 30, 2018; with a contract amount not to exceed $103,500; and add some additional language to the contract.
