Award of Notice of Request for Proposal No. 051122 for Bulk Fuel and Lubricants

Background Information

Fuelco Energy LLC entered into a contract with Gila County on July 23, 2019. Amendment No. 1 was executed on July 7, 2020, and Amendment No. 2 was signed on July 6, 2021. On October 11, 2021, Fuelco Energy LLC sold the business to Senergy Petroleum. Gila County entered into a contract under Amendment No. 3 with Senergy Petroleum on February 1, 2022, without the option to renew another term. The contract expires on July 22, 2022.

Evaluation

The Board approved the advertisement Request for Proposal No. 051122 and the advertisement was placed on June 15, 2022, and June 22, 2022. Public Works is asking for an annual contract with the option of three annual renewals. Going with the Request for Proposal process and allowing those companies that are not in the State Contract system to bid.

Conclusion

The Request for Proposal No. 051122 for bulk fuel and lubricants was due on June 30, 2022, at 3:00 P.M. and there was only one bid received. Public Works wants to award a contract prior to the July 22, 2022 expiration date of the current contract.

Recommendation

Public Works Department Director recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve the award of Request for Proposal No. 051122 for the purchase of bulk fuel and lubricants to Senergy Petroleum, LLC company from July 19, 2022, to July 18, 2023.

Information/Discussion/Action to award Request for Proposal No. 051122 to Senergy Petroleum, LLC in the amount of $1,200,000 from July 19, 2022, to July 18, 2023, for the purchase of bulk fuel and lubricants. (Steve Sanders)
