Background Information

On July 7, 2020, the Board of Supervisors approved Professional Services Contract No. 060920 with Law Offices of Timothy V. Nelson, whereby providing legal services for indigent citizens as appointed by the Superior Court in Gila County for the period beginning July 1, 2020, to June 30, 2021. The original contract was executed for a not to exceed without written authorization amount of $72,000.

On August 3, 2021, the Board of Supervisors approved Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Contract No.060920 to extend the term of the contract for one additional year term from July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2022.

Evaluation

Amendment No. 2 to Professional Services Contract No.060920 with Law Offices of Timothy V. Nelson extends the term of the contract for one additional year term to June 30, 2023.

Conclusion

Superior Court Administration wishes to execute Amendment No. 2 to Professional Services Contract No.060920 with the Law Offices of Timothy V. Nelson to extend the term of the contract for one additional year to June 30, 2023.

Recommendation

The Administrator for the Superior Court in Gila County recommends approving Amendment No. 2 to Professional Services Contract No. 060920 with the Law Offices of Timothy V. Nelson to extend the term of the contract for one additional year to June 30, 2023, and for a not to exceed contract amount of $72,000.
