Approval to use State Contract No. CTR050894 with Jani-Serv, Inc. for Janitorial Services for Northern and Southern Regions of Gila County.

Background Information

JaniServ has been providing after-hours janitorial services for the Southern Region of Gila County since 2017. The contract was awarded through a public bid. Renewal options have now been exhausted. JaniServ has provided solid services and is well acquainted with the area and work to be completed.

JaniServ has been assisting with the janitorial services in the northern region of Gila County for the past several months utilizing a State contract. The Northern Region will be seeing an increase in square footage due to the construction of the Gila County Complex. Having an after-hours janitorial crew has helped to alleviate some of the cumbersome workloads that have been applied to the single county-employed custodian in the Northern Region.

Continuing to use JaniServ by utilizing State Contract would allow for after-hours janitorial services to continue uninterrupted.

Evaluation

Utilizing JaniServ under State Contract #CTR050894 will allow for after-hours janitorial services to be continued, uninterrupted, in both the Southern and Northern Regions of Gila County. The total annual amount for the Northern and Southern Regions will be $204,216.73.

Conclusion

Utilizing JaniServ under State Contract #CTR050894 will allow for after-hours janitorial services to be continued, uninterrupted, in both the Southern and Northern Regions of Gila County. The contract can be renewed for three more years at the discretion of the Board.

Recommendation

The Facilities Management Interim Director recommends the Board of Supervisors approve the use of Arizona Procurement Contract No. CTR050894 with Jani-Serv, Inc. to provide after-hours janitorial services for both the Southern and Northern Regions of Gila County.
