Quit Claim Deed - Old Animal Control Shelter

Background Information

In 1971, William Bohme, Chairman of the Gila County Board of Supervisors, signed a lease agreement (as authorized by the Board of Supervisors) with the City of Globe and Gila Humane Society to utilize the structure that existed on the property identified in the agreement as an animal shelter. The Gila Humane Society is now known as High Desert Humane Society. This piece of property is where the old Gila County Animal Shelter is located inside the City of Globe Cemetery.

For many years, it was assumed that the City of Globe and Gila County jointly owned this piece of property. However, after researching this with the County Assessor’s Office, there does not exist any legal deed recorded to show joint ownership of the property.

To clear up any confusion or misperception Gila County may quit claim deed all rights, title, and interest for this property to the City of Globe.

Conclusion

To clear up any confusion or misperception on the ownership of the property located at 700 W. Hackney Ave., Globe, AZ 85501, it would be in the interest of Gila County to quit claim deed all rights, title, and interest in the property to the City of Globe.

To quit claim deed all rights, title, and interest in the property located at 700 W. Hackney Ave., Globe, AZ 85501 to the City of Globe.

Information/Discussion/Action to authorize the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors to sign a Quit Claim Deed to quit claim all rights, title, and interest in the property (formerly the Gila County Animal Shelter) located at 700 W.
