Sealed bid for the purchase of Assessor's parcel number 206-12-014.
Background Information
On June 29, 2018, the Gila County Treasurer deeded parcel number 206-12-014 to the State of Arizona c/o Board of Supervisors because the previous owner did not pay taxes on the subject property for 7 consecutive years. The parcel was included in the list of available properties scheduled to be sold at the Board of Supervisors' auction in December 2018; however, it was removed from the auction list at the Treasurer's request due to a problem with the parcel.  The lien amount for this property is $6,131.55.
Evaluation
On June 24, 2020, the Clerk of the Board received a sealed bid from Mike Lopez to purchase the subject parcel.  Before this property was deeded to the State of Arizona care of the Board of Supervisors, Mr. Lopez owned the property.

Gila County Resolution No. 15-05-05 states, " WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors may waive the requirement to sell the property for no less than the total lien amount if a condition warrants selling a parcel at a lesser price."
Conclusion
It would be advantageous for the Board of Supervisors to consider a bid that is less than the lien amount; whereby, if the property is sold, it will go back on the County's tax rolls.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors consider the bid for the purchase of tax parcel number 206-12-014

Information/Discussion/Action to consider a sealed bid for the purchase of Assessor's tax parcel number 206-12-014 and, if accepted, authorize the Chairman's signature on the Quit Claim Deed. (Marian Sheppard)
