Intergovernmental Agreement No. 022420 between Gila County and City of Globe for Law Enforcement Dispatch Services.

Background Information

The Gila County Sheriff's Office has been providing dispatch services to the City of Globe since July 1, 2015, under Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) No.050215. As the initial term and subsequent renewal terms of IGA No. 050215 have expired, a replacement IGA is needed.

Evaluation

Dispatch services are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for 9-1-1 calls, including two-way radio communications, paging services, and other non-emergency call taking. Dispatch and related administrative duties are provided in conformance with the enforcement of city civil, criminal, and ordinance code. All state and federal information resources utilized by the Sheriff's Office are made available to assist the City of Globe in the performance of emergency response in their jurisdiction. Gila County also provides access and training in the use of the records management system to the City of Globe staff, which is contracted separately from this IGA.

Conclusion

All dispatch services provided in the initial IGA are included in this replacement document. The City of Globe agrees to pay an annual amount of $246,462 for the performance period of July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2021.

Recommendation

It is the recommendation of Sheriff J. Adam Shepherd that the Board of Supervisors approve Intergovernmental Agreement No. 022420 Between Gila County and City of Globe for Law Enforcement Dispatch Services in the amount of $246,462, for the performance period of July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2021.

Information/Discussion/Action to approve Intergovernmental Agreement No. 022420 between Gila County and City of Globe for Law Enforcement Dispatch Services in the amount of $246,462, for the performance period of July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2021, with the option to renew for three (3) additional one-year periods.
