Fireworks Display Application by Reyman Pyrotechnics

Background Information

For many years a local copper mining company, presently known as Freeport-McMoRan, Inc. (FMI), Miami Operations, has provided the local community with a 4th of July fireworks display at the location of the mine. FMI has contracted with Reyman Pyrotechnics to put on the fireworks display at FMI's mine property in Miami, AZ.

Evaluation

The application for this date has been approved by Gila County Sheriff J. Adam Shepherd. The Chief of the Tri-City Fire Department has also submitted a letter with the application approving the fireworks display, and the required insurance certificate accompanies the application. All paperwork has been submitted to the Chief Deputy Clerk of the Board of Supervisors for presentation to the Board of Supervisors for its approval.

Conclusion

The Board of Supervisors needs to consider approving the fireworks display application for the event to take place on July 4, 2022, on FMI mine property.

Recommendation

The Board of Supervisors' approval of this application is recommended by the Chief Deputy Clerk of the Board.

Approval of an Application for Fireworks Display submitted by Reyman Pyrotechnics and sponsored by Freeport-McMoRan, Inc. (FMI) to provide a fireworks display on Monday, July 4, 2022, at the FMI Miami Operations mine site.
