Gila County Street Lighting Improvement Districts' FY 2022-2023 Tentative Budget Adoption

Background Information

Arizona Revised Statutes-Chapter 17-Levy, Article 3-Local Government Budget Process outlines the budget requirements and timelines for each county's and incorporated city's and town's budgets.

For the various Gila County Improvement Districts, which include the Street Lighting Improvement Districts, the process includes the Improvement Districts' Board of Directors (BOD) adopting a tentative annual budget and thereafter at a future meeting adopting a final annual budget. In Gila County, the Board of Supervisors acts as the BOD for all Gila County Street Lighting Improvement Districts.

The Street Lighting Improvement Districts' budgets are included in the entire budget for Gila County. They are listed in the FY 2022-2023 Budget Schedules entitled "Street Lighting Improvement Districts."

Evaluation

In Gila County, the Board of Supervisors (BOS) acts as the BOD for the Gila County Street Lighting Improvement Districts. In order for the FY 2022-2023 Tentative Budgets for the Street Lighting Improvement Districts to be adopted, the Board of Supervisors must adjourn as the BOS and convene as the BOD for the Street Lighting Improvement Districts.

Conclusion

An overview of the Gila County Street Lighting Improvement Districts' budgets will be presented. After a discussion, the Gila County Street Lighting Improvement Districts' BOD will consider adopting the budgets.

Recommendation

It is requested that the BOD of the Gila County Street Lighting Improvement Districts consider adopting the respective budgets.

Information/Discussion/Action to adopt the FY 2022-2023 Tentative Budgets for the Gila County Street Lighting Improvement Districts per the FY 2023 Budget Schedules entitled "Street Lighting Improvement Districts." (Maryn Belling) (Adjourn as the Gila County Street Lighting Improvement Districts' Board of Directors and reconvene as the Gila County Board of Supervisors.)
