Background Information |
On March 16, 2021, the Board of Supervisors approved Cooperative Law Enforcement Agreement (Forest Service Agreement No. 21-LE-11031200-038), which replaced Agreement No. 16-LE-11031200-004. The Operating and Financial Plan was incorporated as Exhibit A, the amount of this Agreement was $74,800 for the performance period of January 1, 2021, through December 31, 2021. |
Evaluation |
Forest Service Agreement No. 21-LE-11031200-038, Modification No. 1, changes the following: Update period of performance in operating plan from a single year to multiple years through December 31, 2025; Change in Funding: Forest Service to add $74,800 ($60,000.00/NFLE0322 & $14,800.00/FDDS3618) funding to the Partner in accordance with the attached Operating and Financial Plan (Exhibit A); Administrative change: Forest Service to change Program Manager from Bray Addison to Thomas Hughes; and attached 2022-2025 Operating and Financial Plan. |
Conclusion |
It is imperative that Forest Service Agreement No. 21-LE-11031200-038, Modification No. 1 is approved by the Board of Supervisors to ensure that there is no lapse in the cooperative enforcement services provided on National Forest Service lands within Gila County by the Gila County Sheriff's Office deputies and to ensure that reimbursement of those services occurs on a timely basis. |
