Background Information

On July 7, 2020, the Board of Supervisors approved Professional Services Contract No. 060820 with the Law Offices of Anna Ortiz, whereby the Law Offices of Anna Ortiz provides legal services for indigent citizens as appointed by the Superior Court in Gila County for the period beginning July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021. The original contract was executed for a not to exceed without written authorization amount of $72,000.

Evaluation

Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Contract No. 060820 extends the term of the contract for one additional year, from July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022, for the same not to exceed amount of $72,000.

Conclusion

Court Administration wishes to execute Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Contract No. 060820 with the Law Offices of Anna Ortiz to extend the term of the contract for one additional year, from July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022.

Recommendation

The Court Administrator for the Superior Court in Gila County recommends approving Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Contract No. 060820 with Law Offices of Anna Ortiz to extend the term of the contract for one additional year, from July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022, for a not to exceed without written authorization amount of $72,000.
