Background Information

On July 7, 2020, the Board of Supervisors approved Professional Services Contract No.071620 with DeBrigida Law Offices, whereby DeBrigida Law Offices provides legal services for indigent criminal representation as appointed by the Superior Court in Gila County for the period beginning July 1, 2020, to June 30, 2021. The original contract was executed for a not to exceed without written authorization amount of $72,000.

Evaluation

Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Contract No.061320 with DeBrigida Law Offices, extends the term of the contract for an additional one-year term from July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2022; and increases the contract amount by $46,000 for a new total contract amount not to exceed $118,000.

Conclusion

Court Administration wishes to execute Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Contract No.061320 with DeBrigida Law Offices to extend the term of the contract for one additional year, from July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2022; and to increase the contract amount by $46,000 for a new total contract amount not to exceed $118,000.

Recommendation

The Court Administrator for the Superior Court in Gila County recommends approving Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Contract No.061320 with DeBrigida Law Offices, to extend the term of the contract for one additional year, from July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2022; and to increase the contract amount by $46,000 for a new total contract amount not to exceed $118,000.
