Amendment No. 2 to Professional Services Contract No. 031319-with Arizona Planning and Paralegal Solutions

Background Information

On April 2, 2019, the Board of Supervisors approved Professional Services Contract No. 031319 with Arizona Planning and Paralegal Solutions to work with the Community Development Director on planning and zoning projects as needed at $50 per hour, with a not to exceed $78,000.

On March 27, 2020, the County Manager approved Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Contract No. 031319 with Arizona Planning and Paralegal Solutions extending the term of the contract for one additional year, from April 2, 2020 to April 1, 2021.

Evaluation

Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Contract No. 031319 expires on April 1, 2021. The contract allows for three additional one-year renewal periods at an annual cost of $78,000; therefore, staff recommends that the contract be renewed for one additional year, from April 2, 2021 to April 1, 2022.

Conclusion

Community Development wishes to execute Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Contract No. 031319 with Arizona Planning and Paralegal Solutions to extend the contract term from April 2, 2021 to April 1, 2022

Recommendation

The Community Development Director recommends approval of Amendment No. 2 to Professional Services Contract No. 031319 to extend the term of the contract for one additional year from April 2, 2021 to April 1, 2022, in a not to exceed amount of $78,000.
