Information
Request/Subject
FY 2022 9-1-1 Grant Agreement No. ADOA-AZ911-22-05
Background Information
On February 16, 2021, the Board authorized the electronic submittal of a grant application in the amount of $192,654 to the Arizona 9-1-1 Program Office by March 5, 2021 to support the Gila 9-1-1 Network FY 2022 program budget.

On March 4, 2021, a state 9-1-1 Program Manager called to request any additional necessary costs be added to the budget application for review by the state team. As both the *PSAPs (Public Safety Answering Points) in the Gila 9-1-1 Network had requested one additional 9-1-1 seat (workstation) in grant cycles 2020 and 2021, discussion with the Payson Police Department (PD) Communications Manager resulted in confirmation to re-submit the related costs for their request. Along with the related costs for the Sheriff's Office PSAP, the grant application was submitted on March 5, 2021 for a total of $245,865.23.
Evaluation
During the review process, the state requested additional backup and justification from each PSAP. After review and discussions with the Payson PD Communications Manager, 9-1-1 call volume reports, including calls received over administration lines that resulted in a 9-1-1 emergency priority, were submitted for review to the State 9-1-1 Program Office.
Conclusion
After thorough data analysis by the state program office, the final grant award for the FY2022 Gila 9-1-1 Network, as found in Agreement Section 7.3, is as follows:

Equipment:  $26,606
Contractual/Outside Services:  $191,490
Admin:  $3,557
Total Grant Award: $221,653
Recommendation
It is the recommendation of Sheriff J. Adam Shepherd that the Board of Supervisors approve the FY 2022 Arizona 9-1-1 Program Grant Agreement No. ADOA-AZ911-22-05 in the amount of $221,653.
