Request/Subject

Independent Contractor Agreement 2020-21 Utility Assistance Programs (Contract No. 07012020-21) with the Arizona Community Action Association d/b/a Wildfire.

Background Information

This contract has been in existence between the Arizona Community Action Association d/b/a Wildfire and the Gila County Community Services Department, Community Action Program (CAP), for the past 12 years.

Contract No. 07012019-20 was approved by the Gila County Board of Supervisors on July 23, 2019.

Evaluation

Contract No. 07012020-21 will administer energy program funding from the Arizona Community Action Association d/b/a Wildfire in the amount of $43,640 to the Gila County Community Services Department, CAP, to be used to provide weatherization services, utility repair and replacement, utility deposits and bill assistance to eligible citizens residing in Gila County.

Conclusion

By the Board of Supervisors approving this contract, the Gila County Community Services Department, CAP, will receive funding to provide eligible citizens residing in Gila County with services that promote economic self-sufficiency.

Recommendation

The Gila County Community Services Department Director recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve this contract in order for the Gila County Community Services Department, CAP, to receive funding to provide weatherization and utility services.

Information/Discussion/Action to approve an Independent Contractor Agreement (Contract No. 07012020-21) between the Arizona Community Action Association d/b/a Wildfire and the Gila County Community Services Department, Community Action Program, whereby Wildfire will administer funding in the amount of $43,640 which will be used to provide weatherization services, utility repair and replacement, utility deposits and bill assistance to eligible citizens residing in Gila County for the period of July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2021.
