Gila County Flood Control District FY 2020-2021 Tentative Budget Adoption

Background Information

Arizona Revised Statutes-Chapter 17-Levy, Article 3-Local Government Budget Process outlines the budget requirements and timelines for each county's and incorporated city's and town's budgets.

For the Gila County Flood Control District, the process includes the Flood Control District Board of Directors (BOD) adopting a tentative annual budget and thereafter at a future meeting adopting a final annual budget.

The Flood Control District's budget is included in the entire budget for Gila County.

Evaluation

In Gila County, the Board of Supervisors acts as the BOD for the Gila County Flood Control District. In order for the FY 2020-2021 Flood Control District Tentative Budget to be adopted, the Board of Supervisors must adjourn and convene as the Flood Control District BOD.

Conclusion

An overview of the Flood Control District Tentative Budget will be presented to the BOD. After a discussion, the Flood Control District BOD will consider adopting the proposed tentative budget.

Recommendation

It is requested that the Board of Directors of the Flood Control District consider adopting the FY 2020-2021 Tentative Budget.
