Gila County Library District FY 2020-2021 Tentative Budget Adoption

Background Information

Arizona Revised Statutes-Chapter 17-Levy, Article 3-Local Government Budget Process outlines the budget requirements and timelines for each county's and incorporated city's and town's budgets.

For the Gila County Library District, the process includes the Library District Board of Directors (BOD) adopting a tentative annual budget and thereafter at a future Board meeting adopting a final annual budget.

The Library District's budget is included in the entire budget for Gila County.

Evaluation

In Gila County, the Board of Supervisors acts as the BOD for the Gila County Library District. In order for the FY 2020-2021 Library District Tentative Budget to be adopted, the Board of Supervisors must adjourn and convene as the Library District BOD.

Conclusion

An overview of the Library District Tentative Budget will be presented to the BOD. After a discussion, the Library District BOD will consider adopting the proposed tentative budget.

Recommendation

It is requested that the BOD for the Gila County Library District consider adopting the FY 2020-2021 Tentative Budget.

(Adjourn as the Gila County Board of Supervisors and convene as the Gila County Library District Board of Directors.) Information/Discussion/Action to adopt the Fiscal Year 2020-2021 Tentative Budget for the Gila County Library District.
