Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Contract No. 032321 with Alexander Legal, LLC for the Superior Court.

Background Information

On May 4, 2021, the Board of Supervisors approved Professional Services Contract No. 032321 with the Alexander Legal, LLC whereby Alexander Legal, LLC provides legal services for indigent citizens as appointed by the Superior Court in Gila County for the period beginning July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2022. The original contract was executed for a not to exceed without written authorization amount of $36,000. It also provides the option to renew the contract for three one-year periods.

Evaluation

Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Contract No. 032321 with Alexander Legal, LLC will serve to add to Article III-Compensation, Costs, and Billing Procedures, the clause Indigent Criminal Misdemeanor Defense Representation; and to increase the contract by $6,462 for the contract term of July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2022, for a new total contract amount not to exceed $42,462.

Conclusion

Court Administration wishes to execute Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Contract No. 032322 with Alexander Legal, LLC to add to Article III-Compensation, Costs, and Billing Procedures, the clause; Indigent Criminal Misdemeanor Defense Representation; and to increase the contract by $6,462, for the contract term of July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2022, for a new total contract amount not to exceed $42,462.

Recommendation

The Court Administrator for the Superior Court in Gila County recommends approving Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Contract No. 032322 with Alexander Legal, LLC to add to Article III-Compensation, Costs, and Billing Procedures, the clause; Indigent Criminal Misdemeanor Defense Representation; and to increase the contract by $6,462, for the contract term of July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2022, for a new total contract amount not to exceed $42,462.
