Amendment No. 5 to an Intergovernmental Agreement (Contract No. DI20-002263) between the Arizona Department of Economic Security (ADES) and the Gila County Community Services Department.
Background Information
On June 16, 2020, the Board of Supervisors approved an Intergovernmental Agreement (Contract No. DI20-002263) to provide programs and services under the Community Services Department's Community Action Program to pursue the reduction of poverty, the revitalization of low-income communities, and the empowerment of low-income families and individuals to become fully self-sufficient.

Amendment #4 was approved by the Board of Supervisors on November 2, 2021.
Amendment #3 was approved by the Board of Supervisors on August 16, 2021.
Amendment #2 was approved by the Board of Supervisors on March 16, 2021.
Amendment #1 was approved by the Board of Supervisors on October 20, 2020.
Evaluation
Amendment No. 5 to Intergovernmental Agreement Contract No. DI20-002263 is to add the Itemized Service Budget for the period July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2022. In accordance with the Alert issued on February 16, 2022, and March 31, 2022, the revised allocations are as followed:

The total value of the Case Management Intake service, Case Management service, Community Services and Dislocated Worker Grant (DWG) service, Case Management COVID-19 Supplemental Funding Estimated Carryover and American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), and Community Services COVID-19 Supplemental Funding Estimated Carryover budgets is revised from $828,580.94 to $ 979,578.27 as detailed in the attached itemized services budgets.
Conclusion
If Amendment No. 5 to Contract No. DI20-002263 is approved, the Case Management service reimbursement ceiling and the Community Services reimbursement ceiling will be revised to reflect a total of $979,578.27 for the period of July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2022.
Recommendation
The Gila County Community Services Department Director recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve Amendment No. 5 to an Intergovernmental Agreement (Contract No. DI20-002263) in the amount of $979,578.27 so that the Gila County Community Services Department can continue to assist eligible Gila County residents.
Suggested Motion
Information/Discussion/Action to approve Amendment No. 5 to an Intergovernmental Agreement (Contract No. DI20-002263) between the Arizona Department of Economic Security and the Gila County Community Services Department to increase the value of the Itemized Service Budget to $979,578.27 for the period of July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2022, for the continued provision of Community Action Program services.
