Request/Subject

Adopt Resolution No. 22-05-01 which approves Amendment No. 1 to Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) No. 20-0008060-1 with Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) for Tonto Creek Bridge construction.

Background Information

The Board of Supervisors approved the IGA on May 18, 2021, for the Tonto Creek Bridge construction.

Evaluation

Revise wording in ADOT IGA No. 20-0008060-I, A.G. Contract No. P001 2021 00386, to help address verbiage concerns and further clarify the intent of the revision.

Conclusion

No changes in the amount of federal aid or how it is being used. No changes to the Arizona Public Service relocation responsibilities due to the amendment. IGA revisions reflect reformatting to ensure it mimics the white paper language and figures.

Recommendation

The Public Works Department Director recommends the Board's approval to adopt Resolution No. 22-05-01 which authorizes the Chairman’s signature on Amendment No. 1 to IGA No. 20-0008060-I to clarify the language for Gila County in building the Tonto Creek Bridge with BUILD 20 Grant funds.
