Adopt Resolution No. 20-04-02 designating W. Round Tree Trail from the intersection of Forest Road 130 (Dutchman Trail) and Mule Track Road from the intersection of W. Round Tree Trail to the south boundary of that property shown as parcel 305-02-002J in Young as primitive roads.

Background Information

On November 13, 2019, Gila County Public Works received a Citizens' Petition to establish W. Round Tree Trail from the intersection of Forest Road 130 (Dutchman Trail) and Mule Track Road from the intersection of W. Round Tree Trail to the south boundary of that property shown as parcel 305-02-002J as primitive roads. On December 17, 2019, the Board accepted the Citizens' Petition to begin the process to bring the above-mentioned roads into the County’s Maintained Roadway System as primitive roads.

Evaluation

The petition and grant of easement for W. Round Tree Trail from the intersection of Forest Road 130 (Dutchman Trail) and Mule Track Road from the intersection of W. Round Tree Trail to the south boundary of that property shown as parcel 305-02-002J meets the requirements of Gila County Policy No. PWS-001 “Guidelines to Primitive Roads.”

Conclusion

Acceptance of this primitive road easement will allow Gila County to provide maintenance to W. Round Tree Trail from the intersection of Forest Road 130 (Dutchman Trail) and Mule Track Rd. from the intersection of W. Round Tree Trail to the south boundary of that property shown as parcel 305-02-002J as described in the “Guidelines to Primitive Roads.”

Recommendation

The Gila County Public Works Director and the County Engineer recommend that the Board approve and adopt Resolution No. 20-04-02 accepting the grant of primitive road easement for W. Round Tree Trail from the intersection of Forest Road 130 (Dutchman Trail) and Mule Track Rd. from the intersection of W. Round Tree Trail to the south boundary of that property shown as parcel 305-02-002J in Young.

Suggested Motion

Information/Discussion/Action to adopt Resolution No. 20-04-02 accepting W. Round Tree Trail from the intersection of Forest Road 130 (Dutchman Trail) and Mule Track Road from the intersection with W. Round Tree Trail to the south boundary of that property shown as parcel 305-02-002J in Young, Arizona, upon the terms and conditions set forth in Gila County Policy No. PWS-001 and authorizing the execution of the Primitive Road Easement.
