Repeal Resolution No. 23-01-02 & Adopt Resolution No. 23-03-03.
Background Information
As required by Arizona Revised Statutes §41-1279.07(E), annually by July 31 each county, city, town, and community college district must provide the Auditor General the name of the chief fiscal officer (CFO) the governing board designates to submit the current fiscal year’s Annual Expenditure Limitation Report (AELR) and certify to the accuracy of the report. On January 3, 2023, the Gila County Board of Supervisors designated Maryn Blythe Belling as Chief Fiscal Officer for officially submitting the Fiscal year 2022 Expenditure Limitation Report (ELR) to the Arizona Auditor General. On March 7, 2023, the Auditor General's office let us know that there was a correction needed to Enactment Section 2 of the resolution which stated 2023 AELR & should have stated 2022 AELR.
Evaluation

Recommendation
Staff recommends repealing Resolution No. 23-01-02 and adopting Resolution No. 23-03-03 designating Maryn Blythe Belling as CFO for Gila County.
Suggested Motion
Information/Discussion/Action to repeal Resolution No. 23-01-02 and adopt Resolution No. 23-03-03 appointing Maryn Blythe Belling, Finance director, as the Chief Fiscal Officer for Gila County as required by Arizona Revised Statutes §41-1279.07(E).
