Approval of the purchase of SPIDR Tech (Enhanced Victim Package) Subscription Agreement Quotation No. 00000968 for the Gila County Sheriff's Office (GCSO).

Background Information

SPIDR Tech will provide Software-as-a-Service (Saas) that will incorporate data from the Gila County Sheriff's Office (GCSO) Records Management System and/or Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system to automatically generate and customized text and email messages to victims of crime and reporting parties. Subsequently, customers will receive mobile-friendly surveys comprised of questions chosen by GCSO that can be used to utilized to measure community trust and satisfaction. Senate Bill 1712 allows for reimbursement once the contract is signed, the software is installed, and the GCSO pays the initial invoice. The GCSO would be responsible for requesting reimbursement.

Evaluation

SPIDR Tech will benefit the Gila County Sheriff's Office and victims of crimes by improving communication between Officers, Dispatchers, and crime victims. It is aimed at improving community trust. Senate Bill 1712 allows for reimbursement, but the initial setup cost is $60,550 with SPIDR Tech.

Conclusion

SPIDR Tech would be a benefit to Gila County and the community and can increase the positive interactions between Law Enforcement and crime victims.

Recommendation

Gila County Sheriff's Office recommends the purchase of the SPIDR Tech quote No. 00000968 at the initial cost of $60,550.

Information/Discussion/Action for the purchase of SPIDR Tech Subscription Agreement Quotation No. 00000968 for a period of three (3) years for an initial cost of $60,550 beginning March 21, 2023, to March 20, 2026. (Dennis Newman)
