Approval of Amendment No. 2 to an Independent Contractor Agreement (Contract No. 07012022-23) with the Arizona Community Action Association d/b/a Wildfire for the fiscal year 2023.

Background Information

This contract has been in existence between Arizona Community Action Association d/b/a Wildfire and the Gila County Community Services Department, Community Action Program (CAP), for the past 14 years.

Contract No. 07012022-23 was approved by the Gila County Board of Supervisors on June 21, 2022, for FY 2023 (July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023).

Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 07012022-23 was approved by the Gila County Board of Supervisors on October 1, 2022.

Evaluation

Amendment No. 2 to the Independent Contractor Agreement (Contract No. 07012022-23) will administer energy program funding from the Arizona Community Action Association d/b/a Wildfire to increase APS (Arizona Public Services) funds by the amount of $10,950, The new allocation will be $48,900 funding for Fiscal Year 2023.

Conclusion

By the Board of Supervisors approving Amendment No. 2 to the Independent Contractor Agreement (Contract No. 07012022-23), the Gila County Community Services Department, CAP, will receive funding to provide eligible citizens residing in Gila County with services that promote economic self-sufficiency.

Recommendation

The Community Services Department Director recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve Amendment No. 2 to the Independent Contractor Agreement (Contract No. 07012022-23) in order for the Community Services Department, CAP, to receive funding to provide weatherization and utility services, to our community.
