Amendment No. 5 to Contract No. Gila 10101 with Central Arizona College.

Background Information

On June 19, 2012, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract No. Gila 10101.

On March 19, 2013, the Board of Supervisors approved Amendment No. 1 to said contract.

On August 19, 2013, the Board of Supervisors approved Amendment No. 2 to said contract.

On December 17, 2013, the Board of Supervisors approved Amendment No. 3 to said contract.

On June 24, 2014, the Board of Supervisors approved Amendment No. 4 to said contract.

Evaluation

Central Arizona College shall provide employment and training services to Workforce Investment Act Title 1 eligible youth in Gila and Pinal counties. These services will be provided in accordance with federal and state regulations.

The youth contract is being extended to July 1, 2014, through June 30, 2015.

Additional carryover funds have been added to include the following:

Total additional funds include: Youth Program Fiscal Year 2014 carryover funds $363,283; and Youth Program 2014 funds $758,328 for a total amount of $1,121,611.

Conclusion

Amendment No. 5 to Contract No. Gila 10101 includes carryover funds in the amount of $363,283.

Recommendation

The Community Services Division Director recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve Amendment No. 5 to Contract No. Gila 10101.

Suggested Motion

Approval of Amendment No. 5 to Contract No. Gila 10101 between Gila County and Central Arizona College for Program Year 2014, to add carryover funds in the amount of $363,283 bringing the total contract amount to $1,121,611, and to extend the contract through June 30, 2015.
