Reappointment to the Gila County Industrial Development Authority Board of Directors

Background Information

The Industrial Development Authority of the County of Gila, Arizona (IDA) is comprised of 9 members. Each Supervisor recommends to the Board of Supervisors the names of three members who they would like to represent their specific Supervisorial District on the IDA Board, and the Board of Supervisors then votes on the appointment(s). The term of office for IDA members is six years.

There are two terms that need to be reappointed currently from Supervisorial District I, Supervisor Steve Christensen, and from Supervisorial District III, Supervisor Woody Cline, on the Industrial Development Authority Board of Directors that need to be addressed. The appointments expire on December 31, 2022. Supervisor Christensen has requested that the reappointment of Mr. Cliff Potts and James "Mac" Feezor and Supervisor Cline has requested the reappointment of Ms. Jill Wilson.

Evaluation

Notification has been provided by Supervisor Christensen that Cliff Potts and James "Mac" Freezor has agreed to serve on this Board for the term of January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2026.

Notification has been provided by Supervisor Cline that Jill Wilson has agreed to serve on this Board from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2026.

Conclusion

Supervisor Christensen recommends the reappointment of Cliff Potts and James "Mac" Freezor to the IDA Board of Directors for the term beginning on the date appointed by the Board of Supervisors as January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2026.

Supervisor Cline recommends the reappointment of Jill Wilson to the IDA Board of Directors for the term beginning on the date appointed by the Board of Supervisors as January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2026.

Recommendation

It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors reappoint Cliff Potts, James "Mac" Freezor, and Jill Wilson to the IDA Board of Directors.

Suggested Motion

Approval to reappoint Cliff Potts, James "Mac" Freezor, and Jill Wilson, to the Board of Directors of The Industrial Development Authority of the County of Gila, Arizona for the term of January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2026. (See corrected Board of Supervisors' action taken on 4/18/23 as the term of office was stated incorrectly.)
