Approval of Amendment No. 3 to Service Agreement No. 081121-BMS CAT of Arizona

Background Information

On September 8, 2021, the County Manager approved Service Agreement No. 081121 with Stratton Builders for Project Home HH No. 11952 for the period September 8, 2021, to October 19, 2021. The original contract was executed for a not to exceed without written authorization amount of $46,670.

On April 11, 2022, the County Manager approved Amendment No. 1 to Service Agreement No. 081121 to amend all references to Stratton Builders, LLC BMS CAT of Arizona acquired Stratton Builders on October 16, 2021; and to extend the term of the contract from September 8, 2021, to June 15, 2022, due to the needed time to complete the project, and to transition to BMS CAT of Arizona.

On October 5, 2022, the County Manager approved Amendment No. 2 to Service Agreement No. 081121 with BMS CAT of Arizona to extend the term of the contract to December 31, 2022, due to the needed time to complete the project.

Evaluation

Amendment No. 3 to Service Agreement No. 081121 increases the contract by $18,330 for a new total contract amount not to exceed $65,000 for the contract term September 8, 2021, to December 31, 2022, due to COVID related issues, transfer of ownership of the business and the demand on supplies and equipment.

Conclusion

The Community Services Department Director wishes to execute Amendment No. 3 to Service Agreement No. 081121 with BMS CAT of Arizona to increase the contract by $18,330 for the contract term September 8, 2021, to December 31, 2022, for a new total contract amount not to exceed $65,000.

Recommendation

The Community Services Department Director recommends approving Amendment No. 3 to Service Agreement No. 081121 with BMS CAT of Arizona to increase the contract by $18,330 for the contract term September 8, 2021, to December 31, 2022, for a new total contract amount not to exceed $65,000.

Suggested Motion

Approval of Amendment No. 3 to Service Agreement No. 081121 with BMS CAT of Arizona to increase the contract by $18,330 for an amended contract amount not to exceed $65,000 for the remainder of the contract term, term September 8, 2021, to December 31, 2022.
