Background Information
On July 28, the President and the bipartisan group announced an agreement on the details of a once-in-a-generation investment in our infrastructure, which was immediately taken up in the Senate for consideration. The legislation includes around $550 billion in new federal investment in America’s roads and bridges, water infrastructure, resilience, internet, and more. The bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act will grow the economy, enhance our competitiveness, create good jobs, and make our economy more sustainable, resilient, and just.
Through this RFQ, the County seeks professional services from firms with expertise in the planning, project execution, financial oversight, reporting, and administration of federal grant opportunities and awards, as well as compliance with funding authority requirements. The intent of this RFQ is to select a consultant/firm that will provide expertise and guidance based on new and existing grant funding that would be beneficial to Gila County.
Evaluation
With the additional federal funding available it is necessary to engage additional resources to determine which grants to apply for and provide the required oversight and administration once the county receives funds.

Recommendation
Staff recommends soliciting for a grants consultant to provide the necessary support to seek additional funding from grant opportunities.
