Information
Request/Subject
Approval of Corrections Master Staffing Services Agreement with Supplemental Health Care.
Background Information
The purpose of this contract with Supplemental Health Care (SHC) is to provide supplemental nursing coverage in the Gila County Jail when normal jail staff is unavailable.

Gila County Jail previously contracted with Maxim Healthcare to provide nursing care on an as-needed basis when normal jail staff has been unavailable. Supplemental Health Care is willing to do it at a lower cost for the same services.
Evaluation
If medical/nursing care is needed and a contract with Supplemental Health Care can be obtained at a lower rate it will save the county money and help reduce the overall costs in the jail to use this company on an “as-needed basis”.
Conclusion
The Gila County Sheriff's Office would like to contract with Supplement Health Care for nursing coverage needed in the jail, with a not to exceed the amount of $80,000.
Recommendation
Sheriff J. Adam Shepherd recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve a contract with Supplement Health Care to provide nursing coverage on an as-needed basis in the jail, with a not to exceed the amount of $80,000.
Suggested Motion
Information/Discussion/Action to approve the Corrections Master Staffing Service Agreement with Supplemental Health Care on an as-needed basis, with a not to exceed the amount of $80,000 for a period of November 1, 2022, through October 31, 2023, with the option to automatically renew.
