Approval to use State Contract No. CTR059323 with San Tan Ford Partners LLC for the Purchase of One (1) New 2023 Ford F-550 Super Duty XL Chassis Cab.

Background Information

Due to time constraints and a short ordering window, the use of Contract CTR059323 from San Tan Partners LLC would allow the Gila County General Services Public Works Roads Division the ability to purchase One (1) New Ford F-550 Super Duty XL 4x4 Chassis Cab with Dump Bed, Salt Dogg spreader, and Snowplow without missing the short order window and would allow for the purchase of this new vehicle, during this fiscal year.

Evaluation

The vehicle will be needed for the Gila County Roads Division to help maintain and repair county roads and assist in snow removal during winter events. We would be replacing C-074 a 1993 Chevrolet 1 Ton 4x2 Dump Truck that is 29 years of age and has 175k miles which is costing the County in maintenance and repairs. C-074 will be sold at auction to prevent increasing the size of the fleet.

Conclusion

The vehicle that will be purchased with this cooperative contract will be used by the Gila County Roads Division in the Star Valley/Pine Roads yard location and would replace an older vehicle that has far exceeded one requirement and is close to meeting the other requirements of the Gila County vehicle replacement plan.

Recommendation

The Public Works Department Director recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve the use of Arizona State Contract No. CTR059323 with San Tan Ford LLC for the purchase of One (1) New 2023 Ford F-550 Super Duty XL 4x4 Chassis Cab with Dump Bed, Salt Dogg spreader, and Snowplow as outlined in the specifications in the amount of $121,497.60.
