| Background Information |
This contract has been in existence between Arizona Community Action Association d/b/a Wildfire and the Gila County Community Services Department, Community Action Program (CAP), for the past 14 years.
Contract No. 07012022--23 was approved by the Gila County Board of Supervisors on June 21, 2022, for FY 2023 (July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023). |
| Evaluation |
| Amendment No. 1 to the Independent Contractor Agreement (Contract No. 07012022--23) will administer energy program funding from the Arizona Community Action Association d/b/a Wildfire to increase SWG LIEC (Southwest Gas Low-Income Energy Conservation) funds by the amount of $5,640, The new allocation will be $10,640 to change the dates from July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023, to July 1, 2022, to December 31, 2022, and also provide a one-time administrative fee of $2,500. To decrease Direct Services from 90% to 80% will decrease the contract amount from $74,482 to $65,544 and increase Program Delivery to 20% from 10% which will increase to $16,386 from $7,448. |
| Conclusion |
| By the Board of Supervisors approving Amendment No. 1 to the Independent Contractor Agreement (Contract No. 07012022--23), the Gila County Community Services Department, CAP, will receive funding to provide eligible citizens residing in Gila County with services that promote economic self-sufficiency. |
| Recommendation |
| The Gila County Community Services Department Director recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve Amendment No.1 to the Independent Contractor Agreement (Contract No. 07012022--23) in order for the Gila County Community Services Department, CAP, to receive funding to provide weatherization and utility services. |
