Approve Intergovernmental Agreement with Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community as Pass-through for grant funds awarded to Hellsgate Fire District

Background Information

The Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution No. 22-07-04 on July 19, 2022, agreeing to support the grant application in the amount of $36,565.88 for six new mobile radios for front-line vehicles and 6 new portable handheld radios submitted by Hellsgate Fire District and to act as the pass-through agency for the funds. The Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community has awarded the grant funds to Hellsgate Fire District and requires the execution of an Intergovernmental Agreement so that funds can be distributed.

Evaluation

Grant funds have been awarded by the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community and Gila County will act as the pass-through agency to distribute the funds to the Hellsgate Fire District.

Conclusion

Staff recommends approval of the Intergovernmental Agreement so that funds can be distributed to Hellsgate Fire District.

Recommendation

Staff recommends approval of the IGA.
