Gila County COVID-19 Response and Operational Updates
Background Information
The state of Arizona has encountered a sharp increase in COVID-19 positive cases since reopening the economy on May 15, 2020. The dramatic increase in cases has certainly impacted Gila County with now over 150 non-tribal positive cases, and over 100 positive cases within the San Carlos Apache Tribe. Additionally, there have now been over 500 cases investigated and more than 600 isolation/quarantines. Information/Discussion to address what Gila County Public Health is currently doing to tackle the COVID-19 cases in Gila County, what we expect to see in the near future, and updates on the funding opportunities to assist with our COVID-19 response.
