Request/Subject
Adopt Resolution No. 19-07-02 designating a portion of Six Shooter Canyon Road in Globe as a primitive road.
Background Information
Gila County Public Works received a citizen’s petition to establish a portion of Six Shooter Canyon Road as a primitive road. On May 7, 2019, the Board accepted the citizen's petition to begin the process to bring a portion of Six Shooter Canyon Road into the County’s Maintained Roadway System as a primitive road.
Evaluation
The petition and grant of easement for a portion of Six Shooter Canyon Road meet the requirements of Gila County Policy No. PWS-001 “Guidelines to Primitive Roads."
Conclusion
Acceptance of this primitive road easement will allow Gila County to provide maintenance to a portion of Six Shooter Canyon Road as described in the “Guidelines to Primitive Roads."
Recommendation
The Gila County Public Works Director and the County Engineer recommend that the Board adopt Resolution No. 19-07-02 accepting the grant of primitive road easement for a portion of Six Shooter Canyon Road in Globe.
Suggested Motion
Information/Discussion/Action to adopt Resolution No. 19-07-02 accepting a portion of Six Shooter Canyon road to be established as a primitive road and authorizing the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors to sign the Primitive Road Easement.  (Steve Sanders)
