Adoption of an Order to Designate Polling Places and Appoint Poll Workers for the August 28, 2018 Primary Election.

Background Information

Arizona Revised Statute §16-411 provides that the Board of Supervisors shall designate polling places for each election precinct.

Arizona Revised Statute §16-531 provides that the Board of Supervisors shall appoint poll workers and election board workers.

Evaluation

Arizona Revised Statutes §16-411 and §16-531 require the Board of Supervisors to take official action to designate polling places for each election precinct and to appoint poll workers and election board workers for the Primary Election to be held on August 28, 2018. The Elections Department requests that the Board of Supervisors adopt the Order attached to this agenda item.

Conclusion

The Board of Supervisors needs to adopt the Order attached to this agenda item to designate polling places within each election precinct and to appoint poll workers and the election board workers within Gila County for the August 28, 2018, Primary Election.

Recommendation

The Elections Department Director recommends that the Board of Supervisors adopt this Order.

Information/Discussion/Action to adopt an Order designating polling places within each election precinct and appointing poll workers and election board workers for the purpose of conducting the Primary Election to be held on August 28, 2018. (Eric Mariscal)
