Adoption of Resolution No. 18-07-01 authorizing the disposal of an unnecessary public roadway being Maldito Road and the Chairman's signature on the Quit Claim Deeds deeding the roadway to Bob and Gail Hardman, and Payson Water Company.

Background Information

During the Regular Meeting of the Gila County Board of Supervisors held on June 5, 2018, the Board accepted a bid in the amount of $1,233 from Bob and Gail Hardman for the purchase of Maldito Road adjacent to their property. During a Regular Meeting of the Gila County Board of Supervisors held on June 19, 2018, the Board accepted a bid in the amount of $1,233 from Payson Water Company for the purchase of Maldito Road adjacent to their property.

Evaluation

The bidders have met all the requirements of the current Gila County policy on abandonment of roadways in Gila County.

Conclusion

The next and final step in the process is for the Board of Supervisors to adopt a resolution which authorizes the disposal of portions of Maldito Road, Mesa Del Caballo Tracts Plat No. 5, Official Map No. 236, Gila County Records, Gila County, Arizona, and the Chairman's signature on the Quit Claim Deeds deeding the abandoned roadway to Bob and Gail Hardman and Payson Water Company.

Recommendation

It is the recommendation of the Public Works Division Director that the Board of Supervisors adopt Resolution No. 18-07-01.

Information/Discussion/Action to adopt Resolution No. 18-07-01 authorizing the disposal of an unnecessary public roadway being Maldito Road in Mesa Del Caballo Tracts Plat No. 5, Official Map No. 236, Gila County Records, and the Board of Supervisors' Chairman to execute and deliver in the name and under the seal of the County of Gila, Quit Claim Deeds conveying the abandoned roadway to Bob and Gail Hardman, and Payson Water Company.
