Request/Subject

Assessor's Office Proposed Fee Schedule Increase.

Background Information

This work session will discuss the nature of data requests received by the department and their impact on office resources.

Evaluation

A comparison of fees charged by other Assessor's Offices within Arizona indicates the need to increase fees.

Conclusion

The Assessor's Office may charge fees for certain services as outlined under Arizona Revised Statutes ARS11-251.08 and ARS39-121.03. As required, the Assessor requests that the Board schedule a public hearing to obtain public comments related to this matter.

Recommendation

It is the recommendation of the Assessor that, after the work session concludes and if the Board of Supervisors is in agreement, a public hearing is to be scheduled on a future Board agenda in order to adopt a revised fee schedule for the Assessor's Office.
