Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Contract No. 051518 with Raymond Geiser for the Superior Court.

Background Information

On July 10, 2018, the Board of Supervisors approved Professional Services Contract No. 051518 with Raymond Geiser, whereby Mr. Geiser provides legal services for indigent citizens as appointed by the Superior Court in Gila County for the period beginning July 1, 2018, to June 30, 2019. The original contract was executed for a not to exceed without written authorization amount of $145,000.

Evaluation

Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Contract No. 051518 increases the contract by $22,227 for the contract term July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019 due to the increase in the number of appointments to Attorney Geiser this fiscal year; extends the term of the contract for one additional year, from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020; and increases the contract by $22,227 for the contract term July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020, with a contract amount not to exceed without written authorization amount of $167,870.

Conclusion

Court Administration wishes to execute Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Contract No. 051518 to increases the contract by $22,227 for the contract term July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019; extend the term of the contract for one additional year, from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020; and increase the contract by $22,227 for the contract term July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020.

Recommendation

The Deputy Court Administrator for the Superior Court in Gila County recommends approving Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Contract No. 051518 to increases the contract by $22,227 for the contract term July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019; extend the term of the contract for one additional year, from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020; and increase the contract by $22,227 for the contract term July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020.
