Public Works Department Policy No. PWS-011-Tool Replacement with revisions to verbiage and to propose changing the quarterly reimbursement amount from $125 to $200.

Background Information

Public Works Department Policy No. DPW 06-02-Tool Replacement was originally approved by the Board of Supervisors on December 5, 2006. The policy was replaced by Policy No. PWS-011 on March 24, 2020.

Evaluation

The quarterly reimbursement amount currently is $125 and it is being proposed that the reimbursement amount be changed to $200. Minor changes to the verbiage and additions are also being proposed.

Conclusion

Since the policy’s inception on December 5, 2006, the quarterly reimbursement amount has not changed; however, tool prices have risen over the last 15 years. The proposed revisions address the increase to the reimbursement amount and minor changes and additions to the verbiage.

Recommendation

The Gila County Public Works Department recommends approval of the proposed quarterly reimbursement amount change from $125 to $200 to the Public Works Department Policy No. PWS-011-Tool Replacement and the minor changes and additions to the verbiage.

Suggested Motion

Information/Discussion/Action to approve revised Public Works Department Policy No. PWS-011-Tool Replacement to increase the quarterly reimbursement amount to $200 and make minor changes and additions to the verbiage. (Steve Sanders)
