Resolution No. 21-04-01 to name a section of road in Globe as East Calcite Drive

Background Information

Recent lot splits via Record of Survey (ROS) 3040 and subsequent property development has resulted in the need to name a road on the easement represented on the Northern extent of the ROS. Since road names in the area represent various minerals property owners adjacent to the road were sent letters with the suggestion of the name Calcite Dr that was 100% favorably received. The property owners were sent the public notice with a dissenting response date of March 12, 2021, with no dissentions received.

Evaluation

This road is a branch off of an extension of Azurite Dr in the Bandy Heights area of Globe and is located in section 15 of T1N R15E.

It is not necessary to readdress any existing addresses already assigned in the area.

The site plan, area map, and public notice are attached.

Conclusion

Naming this road in the Globe area is supported by the Gila County Street Naming and Property Numbering Ordinance Number 11-03.

Recommendation

The Addressing Supervisor recommends that the Board of Supervisors adopt Resolution No. 21-04-01 naming a road in the Globe area as East Calcite Drive.
