Quit Claim Deeds for Sale of Assessor's Parcel Nos. 201-08-011V and 201-10-034.
Background Information
On May 5, 2015, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution No. 15-05-05 which outlines the policy and procedures for the sale of land held by the State of Arizona under tax deed.  The procedures allow the Clerk of the Board to sell these parcels over the counter for the lien amount.  A separate $15 fee is required to be paid by the purchaser in order to record the Quit Claim Deed.  The procedures also state that a consent agenda item will be submitted to the Board of Supervisors on a regular meeting agenda to obtain authorization from the Board for the Chairman's signature on the Quit Claim Deed. 

Parcel number 201-08-011V was deeded to the State of Arizona c/o Board of Supervisors in 2014, and parcel number 201-10-034 was deeded to the State of Arizona c/o Board of Supervisors in 2015.  Neither parcel sold at the Board of Supervisors' annual tax sale/auction; therefore, the parcels were added to the list of properties that could be purchased year-round for the total lien amount. 

Parcel number 201-08-011V was created in 1993 when the Arizona Department of Transportation realigned the northwest side of Highway 188 in Tonto Basin.  The parcel is located at the end of Tonto Creek Storage to the end of Muller parcel number 201-08-011U.  The lien amount on this parcel is $533.97

Parcel number 201-10-034 is 100' x 130' x 100' x 130' in size and it is located in the creek at Lake Roosevelt Gardens and across from 258 S. Lake Vista in Tonto Basin.  The lien amount on this parcel is $506.02.
Evaluation
On April 26, 2016, the Clerk of the Board deposited a cashier's check from Savannah Jewell in the amount of $1039.99 with the Gila County Treasurer for the purchase of Assessor's tax parcel numbers 201-08-011V and 201-10-034.  An additional $30 was submitted to record two Quit Claim Deeds for said purchases.
Conclusion
The Board of Supervisors needs to authorize the Chairman's signature on the Quit Claim Deeds so that they can be recorded and later mailed to Ms. Jewell.
Recommendation
The Clerk of the Board recommends that the Board of Supervisors authorize the Chairman's signature on the Quit Claim Deeds for the sale of Assessor's parcel numbers 201-08-011V and 201-10-034 to Savannah Jewell and Joshua Sulwer.
Suggested Motion
Authorization of the Chairman's signature on the Quit Claim Deeds for the sale of Assessor's parcel numbers 201-08-011V and 201-10-034 to Savannah Jewell and Joshua Sulwer.
