Alhambra Domestic Wastewater Improvement District Board Resignation and New Appointment Member

Background Information

ARS 48-1012 (C), states that if there is a vacancy in the district board due to resignation, the district board shall accept the resignation and appoint a qualified elector to fill the remaining portion of that term of office.

Evaluation

Alhambra Domestic Wastewater Improvement District board member William Sturges tendered his resignation effective May 27, 2013. The Alhambra Domestic Wastewater Improvement District governing board appointed Nancy Sturges to replace Mr. Sturges and complete his term ending December 31, 2016.

Conclusion

Nancy Sturges has agreed to complete the term of resigned board member William Sturges which expires December 31, 2016.

Recommendation

The Elections Department Director recommends that the Board of Supervisors acknowledge the resignation of William Sturges and the appointment of Nancy Sturges as a newly appointed governing board member of the Alhambra Domestic Wastewater Improvement District.

Suggested Motion

Acknowledgment of the resignation of William Sturges from the Alhambra Domestic Wastewater Improvement District governing board and the appointment of Nancy Sturges to complete Mr. Sturges's term of office ending on December 31, 2016.
