Resolution 14-03-02 to name a previously unnamed section of road in Tonto Basin as N. Birch Place.

Background Information

County resident Mrs. Paula Gibson contacted Rural Addressing to obtain an address. Mrs. Gibson plans to build a home on Assessor’s parcel number: 201-06-003V and 201-06-003W, and the parcels needed to be addressed for permitting purposes. It was determined that these parcels are located on an unnamed private road; therefore, notification letters were sent to owners of all affected properties informing them of proposed name of N. Birch Place, assigned by Rural Addressing. A copy of the letter is attached to this item.

Evaluation

The road on which the parcel exists is a previously unnamed section of road that branches north off of another unnamed road near Forest Service Road 1396 located in Tonto Basin. The section is identified as W ½ NE ¼ SEC 11 T6N R10E.

County Rural Addressing Analyst determined the GPS location of the property to be addressed and appropriately mapped the roadway. A map is attached to this item.

Conclusion

Per the Gila County Street Naming and Property Numbering Ordinance, a public notice was submitted to the Arizona Silver Belt for publication in two consecutive issues: January 29, 2014, and February 5, 2014. A copy of the publication is attached.

No objections were submitted to Rural Addressing personnel during the comment period.

Recommendation

The Public Works Division Director recommends that the Board of Supervisors adopt Resolution 14-03-02 naming a previously unnamed section of road in Tonto Basin as N. Birch Place.
