Request to Advertise Invitation for Bids No. 082320-Mesa Del Caballo Paving Project.

Background Information

This project is a continuation of two previous projects to improve the roads in Mesa Del Caballo. This phase of the project was designed by Woodson Engineering.

Evaluation

Besides improving the asphalt surface, this project will improve drainage in the public right-of-way. This project improves a busy road. It will include removal of all of existing asphalt and base materials and replace with new on Mescalero Road and most of Caballero Road which includes replacing culverts where needed and connections to driveway entrances on public property.

Conclusion

Caballero Road is the main entrance road within the busy community of Mesa Del Caballo. This road reconstruction project will effectively improve Caballero and Mescalero Roads which are in poor condition.

Recommendation

The Public Works Director recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve the request to advertise Invitation for Bids No. 082320-Mesa Del Paving Project.
