Amendment No. 1 to State Contract No. ADSPO18-00007887 with PSOMAS for Tonto Village Bridge Replacement.

Background Information

On March 13, 2018, the Board of Supervisors approved entering into Contract No. ADSPO17-00006796 with PSOMAS for the design of a replacement for the bridge over Thompson Draw located on Johnson Boulevard within the Tonto Village Subdivision east of Payson. This contract had specific tasks associated with it and are referenced in detail in the proposal from PSOMAS dated February 5, 2018, which is part of said contract. The contract amount was for $65,967. The purchase order created for said contract expired on December 31, 2018. On January 10, 2019, Finance was informed by the State of a change in the contract number. The new contract number moving forward is ADSPO18-00007887.

Evaluation

PSOMAS has been working on the design up to this point in time as directed by the Gila County Public Works Department and still has several tasks to complete per their original proposal.

Conclusion

The Public Works Director would like to extend the contract date to December 31, 2019, to allow ample time to complete the original scope outlined in the proposal.

Recommendation

The Public Works Department Director recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve Amendment No. 1 to revise the contract time to reflect an end date of December 31, 2019. The contract amount of $65,967 will remain the same.

Suggested Motion

Approval of Amendment No. 1 to Professional Engineering Services Contract No. ADSPO18-00007887 with PSOMAS to extend the contract to December 31, 2019, with the contract amount of $65,967 to remain unchanged.
