PURSUANT TO A.R.S. §38-431.01, THE GILA COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS WILL HOLD AN OPEN MEETING IN THE SUPERVISORS’ HEARING ROOM, 1400 EAST ASH STREET, GLOBE, ARIZONA. ONE OR MORE BOARD MEMBERS MAY PARTICIPATE IN THE MEETING BY TELEPHONE CONFERENCE CALL OR BY INTERACTIVE TELEVISION VIDEO (ITV). 3.   REGULAR AGENDA ITEMS:
 
A.   Information/Discussion/Discussion regarding the proposed Cobre Valley Regional Aquatic Center (CVRAC) and to consider appointing two County representatives to a subcommittee of the CVRAC Committee in order to further determine if forming a Revitalization Taxing District is the appropriate avenue to fund the CVRAC. B.   Information/Discussion/Action to authorize the advertisement of Request for Proposals No. 100616 - Pharmacy Services for Gila County Detention Medical for a contractor to provide prescription and over-the-counter medications for inmates in the Gila County Jail. C.   Information/Discussion/Action to review all bids submitted for Invitation for Bids No. 113016 for the purchase of three, new, full sized regular cab 3/4 ton pickups; award to the lowest, responsible and qualified bidder; and, authorize the Chairman's signature on the award contract for the winning bidder. (Steve Sanders) Awarded
 
D.   Information/Discussion/Action to adopt Resolution No. 17-02-01, which authorizes the execution of Amendment No. Two to an Intergovernmental Agreement (File No. IGA/JPA 10-231I) between Gila County and the State of Arizona, Department of Transportation, for the construction of pedestrian sidewalks along Main Street in the Central Heights area. E.   Information/Discussion/Action to appoint members of the Board of Supervisors to the following boards and committee for calendar year 2017: 1) Public Safety Personnel Retirement System (PSPRS) Local Board-Supervisor Cline; 2) Correctional Officers Retirement Plan (CORP) Local Board for Sheriff's Office Detention Officers & Non-Uniformed Officers-Vice-Chairman Humphrey; 3) CORP Local Board for Sheriff's Office Dispatchers-Supervisor Cline; and 4) Gila Community College Allied Health Care Advisory Committee-Vice-Chairman Humphrey. 4.   CONSENT AGENDA ACTION ITEMS:  (Any matter on the Consent Agenda will be removed from the Consent Agenda and discussed and voted upon as a regular agenda item upon the request of any member of the Board of Supervisors.)
 
A.   Approval to reappoint Mary Lou Myers to the Gila County Planning and Zoning Commission for another 4-year term of office; January 1, 2017, through December 31, 2020; acknowledge Jay Spehar's resignation from said Commission; and appoint Terry Otts to fulfill Mr. Spehar's unexpired term of office through December 31, 2018. Approved
 
B.   Acknowledgment of the December 2016 monthly activity report submitted by the Globe Regional Justice of the Peace's Office. Acknowledged
 
C.   Acknowledgment of the December 2016 monthly activity report submitted by the Clerk of the Superior Court's Office. Acknowledged
 
D.   Acknowledgment of the December 2016 monthly activity report submitted by the Recorder's Office. Acknowledged
 
E.   Approval of the January 24, 2017, January 25, 2017, and January 31, 2017, Board of Supervisors' meeting minutes. Approved
 
F.   Acknowledgment of the Human Resources reports for the weeks of January 3, 2017, January 10, 2017, January 17, 2017, January 24, 2017, and January 31, 2017. Acknowledged
 
G.   Approval of finance reports/demands/transfers for December 25-31, 2016; January 1-7, 2017; January 8-14, 2017; and January 15-21, 2017. Approved
 
H.   Acknowledgment of contracts under $50,000 which have been approved by the County Manager for the weeks of December 18, 2016 through December 22, 2016 and; December 25, 2016 through December 29, 2016. Acknowledged
 
5.   CALL TO THE PUBLIC:  Call to the Public is held for public benefit to allow individuals to address the Board of Supervisors on any issue within the jurisdiction of the Board of Supervisors. Board members may not discuss items that are not specifically identified on the agenda. Therefore, pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute §38-431.01(H), at the conclusion of an open call to the public, individual members of the Board of Supervisors may respond to criticism made by those who have addressed the Board, may ask staff to review a matter or may ask that a matter be put on a future agenda for further discussion and decision at a future date. A.   Information/Discussion/Action to vote to go into executive session pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(4) for discussion or consultation with the attorneys for the public body in order to consider its position and instruct its attorneys regarding its position in pending litigation, or in settlement discussions to be conducted in order to avoid or resolve litigation, in Town of Miami, Arizona, an Arizona municipal corporation v. Palmer J. Lund, as Trustee of the Palmer J. Lund Trust dated August 19, 2014; and Gila County, a political subdivision of the State of Arizona, Gila County Superior Court No. CV201600149; and after the regular meeting has been reconvened, to vote to direct its attorneys to proceed as directed in the executive session.
